Arizona Attourney General report finds no evidence of mass fraud in Maricopa’s 2020 election results

According to a report released on Wednesday by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, there was no evidence of widespread voter fraud or irregularities related to the 2020 presidential election in Maricopa County.

The report, which was six months into an investigation, was detailed in a 12-page letter written to Senate President Karen Fann. 

Brnovich, a Republican, wrote that his office “has left no stone unturned in the fallout of the 2020 election.” Former President Donald Trump has been leading a persistent campaign to uncover any illegal activity that would substantiate his claims that he was victorious over President Joe Biden in Arizona nearly 18 months ago.

A GOP-commissioned review conducted in Maricopa County confirmed Biden’s win as Trump lost Arizona by fewer than 10,500 votes. 

Trump repeated his claims about Arizona in January, when he alluded to mass fraud at a rally where he was joined by three Arizona House Republicans – Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs, and Debbie Lesko.

Those three voted against certifying Joe Biden as the president. “It’s far more than necessary to win the state of Arizona,” Trump noted at the rally, where he referenced Brnovich. “I think he’s a good man. I think he’s going to do his job,” the former president said. 

Brnovich defended the integrity of the election results, which seemed to disappoint GOP gubernatorial front-runner Kari Lake.

“There is no evidence, there are no facts that would lead anyone to believe that the election results will change,” said Brnovich just days after Biden was declared the victor in the 2020 election. This week, Lake called for the decertification of Biden’s victories in both Arizona and Wisconsin.
