Recent missile and airstrikes have left hundreds dead and thousands wounded in the Israeli-Palistinian conflict. As of Friday, Israel and Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire.
During the hostilities and missile barrages, Israel’s Defence Forces and numerous news outlets have recorded over 4,000 missiles have been launched against Israel. After the conflict ended Hamas and the people of Gaza have recorded the ceasefire as their victory while Israel claims the very same. A senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya stated “This is the euphoria of victory.” Ezzat El-Reshiq, a senior member of Hamas said: “It is true the battle ends today but Netanyahu and the whole world should know that our hands are on the trigger and we will continue to grow the capabilities of this resistance.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also gave a weighty threat to Hamas, “We will respond with a whole new level of force to every instance of aggression against the Gaza-envelope communities or anywhere else in Israel.” Israel has named their 11-day conflict operations “Guardian of the Walls” due to their innovative technologies and military strategy that has helped to save the lives of thousands of Israelites.
