Hunter Biden says laptop reported to have been left at computer store last fall “could” be his

In early December of 2020, Hunter Biden acknowledged that he was officially being investigated by the DOJ by stating “I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs. I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.” 

CNN later reported that according to their sources, Hunter Biden was not just being investigated for tax violations but also whether or not Hunter and his associates were involved in money laundering in foreign countries. In a recent interview, Hunter Biden addressed some of the alleged allegations against him. 

Hunter Biden recently sat down and interviewed with CBS. During this interview, he said “I can say this, I’m cooperating, completely. And I’m absolutely certain, 100% certain, that at the end of the investigation, that I will be cleared of any wrongdoing,” He also admitted that the controversial MacBook Pro “could” actually belong to him. Back in October of 2019 a computer repairman from Delaware claimed a man who identified himself as Hunter Biden brought him a MacBook Pro for repair due to water damage in April 2019, reports USA today. USA today also reported, Mac Isaac, the computer repair man said, “a whole lot of players” were involved in the story of how President Donald Trump’s circle took possession last month of a copy of the hard drive but he declined to give further details. 

After receiving the hard drive’s contents from Rudy Giuliani (President Trump’s lawyer), the New York Post ran a story titled, “Smoking- Gun email reveals how Hunter Biden Introduced Ukrainian Businessman to VIP dad.” This article went into complete detail and specifics about what some of the information contained in these emails. The hard drive also allegedly included a 12 minute video that appears to show Hunter Biden smoking crack while engaging in sec acts with an unidentified woman. Real Clear Politics– along with other news outlets– reports that Rudy Giuliani claims there are numerous pictures of underage girls and an alleged text message conversation between him and his father where he admits to an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old female child.

Hunter Biden and the Biden team have continuously refused any involvement for the laptop in question and allegations that may arise from it. Thus, It is unlikely that Hunter Biden would admit that the laptop in question and any allegations brought against him. Despite this, many have questioned whether the alleged conspiracy theories actually hold some truth. These aren’t small allegations and if found to be true it could possibly affect not just Hunter Biden but President Joe Biden as well. The laptop is in the hands of the FBI while they continue their investigation.
