New developments in the case of Former “Empire” star Jussie Smollett reveal that he partied with one of his alleged “attackers,” and had a sexual relationship and visited a Chicago bathhouse together on multiple occasions, according to DailyMail.com. An anonymous source who gave this information to Page Six on Wednesday claimed that “They used to party together and he [Smollet] had a sexual relationship with [Osundairo]. They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID. It’s known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out.” ~

According to Fox News, Jussies Smollett’s case began after the former star claimed that he was attacked by two masked men in Chicago in January of 2019. According to Smollett, the two alleged attackeers poured bleach on him, tied a noose around his neck, and shouted homophobic and racist slurs at him. The police investigation of the attack led to brothers Abel and Ola Osundrairo, who claim that Smollett paid them $3,500 to stage the attack in an attempt to boost his public profile. Ola is a personal trainer who appeared in an episode of Empire. He reportedly became friends with Smollett and traded “workout tips” via text. Smollett was charged with lying to police before the case was dropped. The case was indicted again in February following an investigation by a special prosecutor. ~

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot issued a damning indictment of Smollet, saying: “He committed a crime, and he needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and we are going to continue to aggressively make him accountable for the wasted police resources that went into investigating what turned out to be a total hoax.” In a press conference after Smollet’s first arrest, then police chief Eddie Gallagher accused him of inflaming race relations in Chicago and wasting police time. ~
