Adam Schiff claims Sunday that the anonymous whistle-blower will testify before congress “very soon”

According to Representative Adam Schiff, the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, the whistle-blower who reportedly filed an anonymous complaint in previous weeks regarding the conduct of Donald Trump will testify “very soon,” marking the next step in the developing impeachment inquiry of the President.  Schiff also claimed that the only thing keeping the still-anonymous whistle-blower from testifying is security clearance issues that may keep top attorney’s from attending the testimony, as well as safety concerns regarding the anonymity of the whitsle-blower (USA Today, 2019). ~

According to the Los Angeles Times, the whistleblower complaint filed anonymously two weeks ago brought attention to a phone call President Trump had with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July. The complaint, which became public late last week, speculated whether the President implicitly or explicitly pressured Ukraine’s president into investigating Joe and Hunter Biden, and whether he used $391 million of military aid as leverage. Although the summarized transcript of the phone conversation released by the Trump administration appears to show that the President specifically spoke about the possibility of Ukraine investigating Joe Biden, it does not appear as though Trump discussed military aid in any form during the call. New reports by the Washington Post and Fox News also bring into question the presence of a quid pro quo, reporting that an unnamed Ukrainian official claimed that Kiev “was not made aware that the U.S. suspended security funds until a month after President Trump’s call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.” ~

Although Congress is presently on a two-week recess, the impeachment inquiry does not seem to be slowing down. Adam Schiff claimed on CBS’ 60 Minutes Sunday that the President’s personal lawyer, Rudolph Giuliani, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were among several people expected to be subpoenaed in following weeks in the House’s growing impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump. ~
