Stuck seat leads to wild brawl on American Airlines flight

A group of men threw punches at each other after a flight from New Orleans landed in Austin, Texas on Sunday.

The clip, obtained by KXAN, shows two men exchanging blows in the cramped cabin as other travelers watch them and beg them to stop during the Sunday trip. The two passengers who brawled in the cabin had been arguing throughout the flight over a seat that was put in the recline position but was reportedly stuck. The video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows two men trading blows at each other almost immediately after the flight touched down.

Two men then proceed to pummel the apparent instigator, as they fall on top of another row of seats while others scream for them to end the brawl. According to witnesses, the plane was returning to Austin when the two men started verbally assaulting each other over a seat that was allegedly stuck in the reclined position, CBS News reported.

The two men were detained on Sunday. At 4:21 p.m. officers from the Austin Police Department in Texas were dispatched to the scene of an American Airlines flight that had landed at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), according to CBS affiliate KEYE-TV.
