Air Force Secretary: ‘Haven’t made a decision on U.S. Space Command’

Halfway through the Intelligence Community’s 90-day investigation into the COVID-19 lab leak theory, Democrats are increasingly accepting of the explanation.
Less than a year ago, Democrat lawmakers balked at the suggestion that COVID-19 was not natural. Now, top officials in the Biden administration are supporting the investigation and potential retaliation against China. With regard to the probe, national security adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN “if it turns out that China refuses to live up to its international obligations, we will have to consider our responses at that point.”
Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters the administration is working with China to allow an international investigation into lab activities, research, and data. At the end of May, the White House announced a two-month-long investigation, noting, “we haven’t ruled out” the theory. Deputy Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “… we will continue to press China to participate in a full, transparent, evidence-based, international investigation with the needed access to get to the bottom of the virus.”
The theory is being considered globally, with the United Kingdom reassessing the idea and calling it ‘feasible.’ In July, the WHO took a similar stance, claiming it was ‘premature’ to rule out the theory. Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said, “I wish to confirm that all hypotheses remain open and require further analysis and studies.”
