Starting on July 21st, citizens over the age of 12 in France under Emannuel Macron’s rule must get either 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine or a nose swab every 2-3 weeks which will
European Union lawmakers and member states on Thursday reached an agreement that would allow anyone in the bloc to obtain a digital proof of coronavirus vaccination status, COVID test results, or recovery from an infection. These rules apply for those wishing to enter bars, restaurants, cinemas, gyms, swimming pools, museums, shopping centers, and any other venues capable of holding at least 50 people.
As an employee, if you want to keep your job you will be required to activate the QR code showing that you have been tested for COVID-19. This was dubbed the “mandatory health pass”. Starting in September, citizens will also be able to get a third dose of the covid-19 vaccine.
On Monday, Emmanuel Macron announced that all citizens have until September 15th to get vaccinated. “Checks will be made and sanctions applied,” said Macron. “It is a new speed race that is underway. We must move towards the vaccination of all French people.” On July 14th, an outbreak of protests and riots started against Macrons ‘health pass’ (Daily Mail).
