Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger sells $100 signed copies of Jan. 6 report for PAC fundraising

Former Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger announced this week that he will be selling signed copies of the January 6 Committee Report for $100 apiece as part of a fundraising effort for his political action committee, Country First.

The former House representative, who served in Congress from 2011 to 2023, has been under Republican scrutiny for years over his public criticism of former president Donald Trump, and his role on the House Select Committee to Investigate the Capitol riot.

He and former Wyoming representative Liz Cheney were the only two Republicans to serve on the committee. Since leaving office, Kinzinger has launched a political action committee aimed at stopping the spread of misinformation and protecting American democracy.

“This hard-bound copy of the historical record is offered as a limited edition and signed by Congressman Adam Kinzinger, who served on the committee. All proceeds will benefit charitable organizations working to uphold and defend democracy in America,” says the website’s description of the hardbound copy of the Final Report compiled by the January 6 Committee.

Since leaving office, Kinzinger has also been hired by CNN as a political commentator, after appearing on the network many times during his Congressional career.

He announced the end of his time in the US House late last year, saying, “There’s little to no desire to bridge our differences, and unity is no longer a word we use. It has also become increasingly obvious that in order to break the narrative, I cannot focus on both a reelection to Congress and a broader fight nationwide.”
