Zelenskyy says Russians who support Putin are ‘following the devil’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday condemned Russians for following Russian President Vladimir Putin, who launched a wave of missile attacks on Ukraine on New Year’s Eve

According to the Associated Press, Russia had launched several rounds of missiles against Ukraine in the last few days. As of writing, the strikes have left at least one person and over a dozen injured.

“They (Russians) call themselves Christians. They are very proud of their orthodoxy. But they are following the devil,” Zelenskyy said. “They support him (Putin) and are together with him.”

“And what will be with all of you, citizens of Russia, does not concern him,” Zelenskyy said, adding that Putin is “hiding.”

“Your leader wants to show that he has the troops behind him and that he is ahead. But he’s hiding. He hides behind the troops, missiles, his residences, palaces.”

He continued, “He hides behind you, burns your country, your future. No one will forgive for terror. No one in the world will forgive you. Ukraine won’t forgive.”
