Georgia couple facing child sex crime charges over alleged sexual abuse of adopted children

A Georgia couple has been arrested after being charged with aggravated child molestation and sexual exploitation of children.

The two men, William Dale Zulock, and Zachary Jacoby Zulock, from Walton County, have been booked in the county jail after an investigation found that the men were “engaging in sexually abuse acts and video documenting the abuse,” with two boys they adopted, NBC News reports.

The investigation into the couple began in late July after investigators with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division learned that an individual was downloading pornography containing underage children.

When questioned by investigators, the individual admitted to collecting child porn and referred law enforcement to another suspect who “was producing homemade child sexual abuse material with at least one child who lived in the home with the perpetrator.”

After identifying the children in the pornographic material, detectives quickly executed a search warrant at a home in Oxford, Georgia. Deputies arrested the two adult men living in the home.

“A small team was dedicated to moving directly to the children to ensure their safety while a team engaged with the adults in the home, securing the scene,” officials said, per WSB-TV. “During the execution of the search warrant, evidence that both adult males–the adoptive fathers of the sibling pair residing in the home–were engaging in sexually abuse acts and video documenting this abuse.”

The sheriff’s office thanked the Walton County Schools for their assistance in identifying the two children, as well as the Walton County’s Division of Family and Child Services for assisting deputies in getting the boys out of the home and taking them into care. The children were identified as brothers.

The two men are currently facing charges of aggravated child molestation, sexual exploitation of a child and enticing a child for indecent purposes. William Zulock is facing an additional charge of child molestation. The investigation is ongoing.
