Elon Musk’s 18-year-old daughter to change name to sever ties with him

One of Elon Musk’s biological children, named Xavier Alexander Musk at birth, has filed for a request to disown the billionaire and change her name in accordance with her gender identity.

Musk’s transgender daughter, who was born in 2004 and recently turned 18 (the age of consent in California), wants to disown her father because she “no longer lives with or wishes to be related” to her biological father “in any way, shape or form.”

In her petition filed in the LA court, the 18-year-old has requested to change her gender recognition from male to female and to register her new name Vivian Jenna Wilson. According to reports, her hearing on the name change is scheduled for Friday.

Her mother is Justine Wilson, who divorced Musk in 2008. She and Musk have had a total of six children together: twins Vivian (previously Xavier) and Griffin, and triplets: Damian, Kai, and Saxon, born in 2006, as well as first son Nevada Alexander Musk.

Musk and Wilson’s first son, Nevada, who was born in 2002, died when he was just 10 weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome.

Musk has since had two more children with Canadian musician Grimes: originally named X Æ A-12, and later changed to X AE A-XII (to remove the Æ and 12), and Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, who was born via surrogate.

While there was no further explanation of the rift between Musk’s daughter and her father, Musk has come under much criticism lately after declaring his support for the Republican Party.

Musk has also commented on the use of pronouns in the past. As The Sun noted, on July 25, 2020, he tweeted: “Pronouns suck.” And in another tweet dated December 16, 2020, he wrote: “I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare.”
