Rashida Tlaib seen dancing maskless at wedding after criticizing Rand Paul for same act

Democrat Representative Rashida Tlaib was photographed dancing maskless at a wedding, after criticizing Republican Senator Rand Paul’s COVID-19 policies.

Replying to a Tweet by Senator Paul, Tlaib said, “The KY Senator is throwing a tantrum as his state is being swallowed whole by this virus, again. People are getting sick and dying. 98 counties in Kentucky have a high incidence rate of COVID-19. He needs to put politics aside, and put people first. Start resisting the virus.” Twitter users began calling out the representative’s hypocrisy after the video of her maskless surfaced.

Furthermore, it was brought to attention that Tlaib was at a wedding in Wayne County, Michigan which is considered an area of substantial COVID-19 transmission by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) standards.

The public health agency recommends indoor masking regardless of vaccination in areas of substantial and high transmission. At the end of July, the CDC reversed its mask guidelines upon the spread of the delta variant and a subsequent spike in cases. Following the updated suggestions, lawmakers, including Republicans, have changed their tune on COVID-19 policies.
