Rihanna is now a billionaire from her Fenty Beauty line, Forbes report estimates

Musician and entrepreneur Rihanna is a self-made billionaire at the age of 33, following the success of her latest business endeavors, including a lingerie line and cosmetics brand.

A recent Forbes report estimates Rihanna’s net worth is $1.7 billion, with the majority of economic success emerging from Fenty Beauty. In 2017, Rihanna independently launched a makeup brand, best known for its broad range of tones and modern packaging. The following year, she launched Fenty X Savage, an affordable, size inclusive lingerie line.

According to the report, Rihanna is now the wealthiest female musician, and the second richest female entertainer (Oprah Winfrey being first). The pop-star turned businesswoman was raised in Barbados and immigrated to the states after being discovered by an American music producer at the age of 15.

Rihanna’s success represents the potential of the American Dream, in her own words, “I always believed that when you follow your heart or your gut, when you really follow the things that feel great to you, you can never lose, because settling is the worst feeling in the world.”
