Surveillance video captures Louisiana road-rage shooting—no injuries reported

Alarming surveillance video captured the moment where an armed man got out of his car and opened fire on a pickup truck in a quiet Louisiana neighborhood during a wild road-rage incident.

The footage from the city of Slidell, which is near New Orleans, shows a gray sedan pull over in a residential neighborhood, then a passenger gets out and fires off a few rounds at the truck, which is seen barreling into several yards before striking a one-story home, WVUE-TV said.

Police said several shots hit the truck but no injuries were reported in the incident Wednesday, the station said. The two vehicles had been involved in a road-rage incident near Highway 11, police said. Cops later tracked down Kendell Matthews, 21, and charged him with attempted second-degree murder in the incident.

“We right away deployed an extensive quantity of officers to look for the suspect,” the chief claimed. “Within a few of several hours, we found the suspect’s motor vehicle and manufactured an arrest. Let this serve as one more information that we will be relentless on fixing and avoiding violent crime in our group,” Fandal explained.
