COVID-19 cases are reportedly down in all 50 states for first time since outbreak, says White House

President Biden highlighted on Monday that for the first time since the original outbreak of COVID, cases are “down in all 50 states.”

In a pitch to encourage unvaccinated Americans to get their shots, Biden took a threatening tone. “those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price.” Biden also announced that the US will now share millions more doses of COVID vaccines with other countries around the world. Biden highlighted data that showed COVID deaths are down 81 percent, which he said was “their lowest level since April 2020.” Biden cautioned, “I can’t promise that will continue this way. We know there will be advances and setbacks and we know that may flareups could occur. But if the unvaccinated get vaccinated, they’ll protect themselves and other unvaccinated people around them.”

Biden warned later in his speech, “if they do not, states with low vaccination rates may see those rates, may see this progress, reversed. Ultimately, those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price. The vaccinated will continue to be protected against severe illnesses, but others may not be if you’re not vaccinated.” Biden also repeated his goal of having 70 percent of Americans receiving and least one dose of the COVID vaccine by July 4th.
