A copy of a children’s book written by Kamala Harris was seen at a migrant detainment facility in the U.S./Mexico border.
The Vice President of the United States wrote a children’s book a while back, titled, “Superheroes are Everywhere.” A copy of this book was found in a migration detention center at the border. According to a White House official who reported to the Washington Examiner, the book was part of a citywide donation effort to collect books and toys for the migrants waiting to be documented. Her book is currently going on Amazon for $11.85 USD. The book was reportedly found on a cot in the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, which is currently home to many migrant children.
The Washington Examiner tried to find out more information on the story, having reached out to many publishers and border officials but receiving no response. The Vice President allegedly had no idea about the situation with the book at the border, despite being appointed to oversee the goings on at the border late last month by Joe Biden. “I’ve asked her, the VP, today, because she’s the most qualified person to do it, to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that help — are going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border,” he said.
