Rapper Cardi B and conservative commentator Candace Owens engaged in a viral back-and-forth on Twitter Sunday evening, according to Fox News. ~

Owens started the feud by sharing a clip of her appearance on “The Ben Shapiro Show: Sunday Special,” in which Owens calls Cardi B “illiterate” and an unwitting tool of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Owens tweeted the video with the caption “Since most black people didn’t have the spine to admit that @benshapiro was 100% correct about @iamcardib and how her music and platform contributes to the disintegration of black culture and values…here you go. #WAP #SundaySpecial.” In the clip, she states “It is one of the biggest insults. If black Americans are not insulted by the fact that Joe Biden, who has been hiding in his basement, you know, for the entire year, made an appearance to come out because he was going to do an interview with Cardi B. Do we have nothing better to offer?” ~

Cardi B responded to the notion by tweeting “You wanna know why joe gotta talk to me Candice cause I have the #1 song & yet my sister can’t go to the beach in the Hampton’s wit out trump supporters harassing cause they were by themselves,” Cardi B tweeted. “It’s not a secret I use my platform to encourage people to vote,” she said in a video on Instagram, according to newsweek. “I love politics… today, Candace Owens said some real nasty things about me.” Cardi went on to condemn Owens for being a “cheerleader” for Trump, and slamming the pundit for “getting pimped out by white men.” ~

“Never listen to a person that has private security but wants the public police defunded. Never listen to a multimillionaire that made it here in America, but trashes our country,” Owens tweeted. “These Hollywood idols are frauds, leading sheep down paths they never took when they discovered success.” Owens also suggested that statistically, Cardi’s husband, Offset, is more likely to kill her than a police officer. A later response from Cardi saw the rapper say she was “sad” for Owens, adding: “This girl tho she makes me sad. She has a [sic] identity issue. She hates her own kind.” ~
